CAU Intercounties XC Roundup!
A brilliant amount of runners from LWAC represented the county of Lincolnshire at last weekends Intercounty XC Champs at Wollaton Hall, Nottingham.
Pitting themselves again the best of every other county, Lincolnshire gave a really great account of themselves on what proved to be a gruelling, fast, hilly course on a unusually hot Saturday.
A huge congratulations to each and every one of you who did your club and county proud, including Ellarose Whitworth, who took home the overall U17W silver for her incredible performances throughout the British Cross Challenge events of the last few months.
A special mention must go to Lightning Squad coaches, Marc Thorpe and Gary Johnson for managing the U13, U15, and U17 squads, organising registrations, operating on the day, and ensuring every one of their athletes was cheered on and looked after on the day. We are very lucky to have you both give up your days/weekends/lives to do the work you do! Thank you!
