Lincoln Wellington Athletics Club is one of the leading track & field clubs in the East Midlands

Founded in 1911, Lincoln Wellington Athletic Club (LWAC) is the primary focus for athletics in the city of Lincoln in the UK. The name originates from the Duke of Wellington (a public house in Broadgate) that was the location for the meeting at which the club was established. If you are interested in finding out more about the History of Lincoln Wellington AC – please click here.

Based at the athletics track at Yarborough Leisure Centre, the club is one of the largest in the East Midlands and its members compete enthusiastically at events all around the country.

Membership of the club is open to people aged 8 and over from all groups in the community.

We offer quality training on our club nights, Tuesday and Thursdays, and some sessions are also arranged on Saturday & Sunday mornings when there are no competitions.

We have a variety of training groups catering for all disciplines ranging from sprinting, middle and long distance to jumping and throwing. We also have 5.15pm training sessions for our junior athletes. All our groups are run by highly qualified and experienced coaches to ensure we help you achieve your personal athletic aspirations.

The club is run solely by volunteers and is managed by a committee of elected officers each of whom has a specific responsibility.

If you would like more information about joining the club either as a member or a volunteer please contact us at: pbaxter.lwac@gmail.com.
