LWAC on Tour at Valencia 10k!
@10kvalencia sponsored by @kiprunrunning_ saw 5 LWAC athletes make the trip to Spain to compete.
After Telford 10k, we caught up with @willrs12 who said his aim was to get back under that magical 30-minute mark at this race, and he duly delivered! Securing a stunning 29:58, the V35M was only 3 seconds away from beating his PB (and own club record!).
Second-claim Welly, and University student @_zak_houghton ran a 30:52 – another 28 second PB for the @cityofnorwichac man from Leeds Abbey Dash just 12 weeks ago!
New England vest athlete, @soph_w91 continued her return from injury with a brilliant 32:26, after working her way through the pack, as well as having taken on this race at the eleventh hour.
Elite starter, and Kiprun athlete, @abbie.donnelly also secured another good result in her return from injury. After the media work was completed, she ran a 32:32 alongside Sophie for much of the race. Good preparation her Half Marathon in Barcelona next month.
Unfortunately one athlete sustained injury and was forced to pull out at 4.5 miles. @matthew_bowser_mb_run_coach looked to be going very well before an old flare up put stop to hopes after 20 minutes of action.
