Abbie Donnelly was 1st GB athlete at the European Cup of 10,000m at Pace in France last Saturday. It puts her no 5 in the National Rankings for this year and 0.8 secs outside the European Champs qualifying time.
Abbie broke the long standing record of Annette Bell’s with a time of 32.20.08.
Kaesi Opara recently smashed the Senior Men’s 100m and 200m record at the Northern League Track & Field meeting at Derby with a time of 10.58 and 21.48 and went on to break the record further with a 21.36 at Loughborough and 21.22 at Sheffield.
Both athletes have been invited to compete at the Muller UK Athletics Championships at Manchester on the 24 June.
