@britishmilersclub Grand Prix – World Athletics Challenger – Birmingham!
It’s been some weekend for competing, whether that be track, field, road or otherwise! We still have the @northernathletics age group champs to update you on, and a boat load of club records to come. For now, here’s Saturdays #BMC GP images and results concerning the club.
@mollie.grant27 stormed to a new PB and club record (breaking her own, yet again!) as an U17W in the 800m A race! She finished 5th in a very senior field, just outside of the European Qualifying time in 2:04.84 for the Adidas-sponsored athlete.
@ev.brookss & @islap_run went in the women’s 1500m B race, with the former delivering a 6th place finish with a 4:22.41 whilst back from Wingate University, USA, where she has delivered a recent track mile PB. Isla performed brilliantly with 4:29.79!
@indiabarwell raced in the women’s 5000m A race and delivered a superb 16:14.40, taking a massive 28 seconds off her BUCS Outdoor Champs time from only a month ago, another huge track PB for the 16:09 5k road U20!
@jstraw1994 began the men’s 5000m B race but unfortunately was forced off around the midway point. We wish him well in his next race and training 🙏
