On Tuesday, #LWAC athletes competed in Poznan, Poland against various NATO countries military teams across multiple disciplines. Around a third of the @royalairforceuk @raf_athletics @rafsporthq athletes were based on our county due to its presence, and a large contingent were LWAC.
@bagleystuart took home 🥇 in the 400m with a 51.41s clocking, as well as competing in the 4x400m relay 😎
@gemmabarnsdale44 then produced a fine display throwing 10.05m to take 🥈 in the shot put 👊
New to Welly @ashyacolvin ran 13.2s for 🥉 in the women’s 100m sprint 👏
And another recent recruit to #LWAC, @mollybetmead produced a stunning sprint finish to take home 🥇 in the 3000m in 10:33.99 🙌
Many of these athletes then flew home and were back in training on Thursday evening! Please join us in congratulating them on some stunning performances against an excellent calibre of competition, that often includes national level athletes.
