On 18th May, 4 Welly athletes competed at the prestigious Loughborough International Athletics 2025 meet and performed fantastically!
First up was @mabel_akande representing @teamgb Jnr in the 4x100m relay where she got the team off to a great start, and they produced a PB and finished 2nd.
After, it was time for @sprinter.debbie in the women’s para match 100m final, who produced a brilliant PB of 13.96s for 5th place.
Next it was the turn of @georgiinaadam in the women’s guest 400m, who stormed to victory after taking the first 200m out fast, in a seasons best (at the time) 54.02s.
Then came @indiabarwell in the women’s match over 3000m, placing 8th in a very strong field with a time of 9:34.58.
The day finished for LWAC with Mabel Akande in the women’s match at 100m final, where she finished 3rd (1st U20), in 11.47 (a SB at the time).
