Lincoln Wellington Athlete Mabel Akande brings home Silver
Mabel progressed through the rounds running strongly to win her heat in a time of 11.72 and second place in the semi with a seasons best of 11.61, qualifying through to the final where she finished just outside the medals in what was a very competitive race with a time of 11.68.
Mabel was selected for Team England mixed 4×100 relay and ran first leg giving the team a good start to what was to be a very close race with winners Nigeria in time of 42.68 and Team England second with 42.71.
